This is for the people that "read the newsletter" but we both know you just want me to tell you when we're hosting our next banger.

We're cooking up a LOT of stuff, there's something here up your alley. Meme tax at the end obvi but you have to read everything (don't be scared it's mostly pictures).

SHIP IT WAITLIST + TALKS (for software engineers)

Our healthcare software engineering conference is in less than two months (oh god I gasped just writing that). It's 9/18 in NY with a reception the night before.

We're excited to announce some of the workshops we're going to be doing

  • How to Do Evals — Darshan Kalola (Anthropic)
  • Context Engineering for Healthcare AI Agents — Tony Farias (Databricks)
  • Where AI Agents Should (and Shouldn't) Run Loose in a Regulated Codebase — Marc Brown (ProCycle) & Morgan Collado (Mocingbird)
  • How to Mentor (When You're Still Learning) — Aditya Dalal (Tempus)
  • ...And 8 more!

We have about 10 tickets left for the conference and will be giving them to people on the waitlist next week. If these kinds of topics are thing you wanna discuss with "cracked" healthcare software engineers, you should apply. This will be sold out soon.

We have one or two more sponsor slots too, hit us up

KNOWLEDGEFEST APPS DUE NEXT WEEK!!! For ops people

Applications to our healthcare ops conference are due in 1 week!! If you work on the operations side of healthcare, I can guarantee that you will fall in love with this conference. This year it's in SF 10/16 - 10/17.

You'll meet the best ops people in the industry, go to workshops that are actually relevant to you and taught by people doing the work.

It's a great time, just ask any previous knowledgefest attendee. We sell out every year, so apply soon.

TWO NEW FREE COURSES!!!

We're excited about two free courses we have coming up!

  1. We're doing a FHIR 101 course!!! FHIR is a technical standard that's supposed to make it easier for two systems to talk to each other. If you're building something in healthcare you need to understand what FHIR is, and so we're partnering with the folks at Redox to explain it to you. You do not need a technical background to come to this course.

Wait...is Redox short for read docs? Like the FHIR documentation? wait...

  1. We got our first ADVANCED course - Value-Based Care 301 (we all kind of forgot how universities number courses tbh). We're doing it again with our partners at Navina, and this time we're getting even nittier and grittier talking about referral management, care gap closure, and juggling multiple contracts.

Both courses are free, and you can sign up for any of our past library of free courses here.

NY HAPPY HOUR

We're doing a happy hour with Bunkerhill for forward deployed engineers, product managers, and consultants that have done implementations. It's 7/30 in NY, (coulda been 5AM in Toronto).

We're basically at capacity, but if you fit that criteria you should sign up and we'll probably get some open spots next week.

Meme tax

We got more good posts coming - I can't give it away but they're good (and I definitely have written them, for sure)

Also idk how to use our instagram well, if anyone wants to teach me or take over and make it big I'm all ears.

Here's your meme

Quick Interlude - NEW COURSE ON FHIR! KNOWLEDGEFEST APPS DUE SOON!

See All Courses →

So...what actually is FHIR? I get this question a lot, but there's never really enough time to explain it and also I would just mumble "technical standard" and walk away.

So we decided to do a standalone free FHIR 101 course in partnership with Redox! Over 3 days in August we'll go over the spec itself, how it differs from other healthcare information standards, and practical tips to build with it.

I wanted to call it FHIR fest but it got nixed. You can sign up for it here, it's FREE and it's 8/25-8/27.

FHIR 101 course

And a reminder that Knowledgefest apps are due this week. If you want to be in a room with the best ops people in healthcare, you should apply like TODAY.

We sell this conference out every year - all workshops, learn how people are building and scaling in healthcare, application based so we only take the best. We have people from Commure, Clarity Pediatrics, Pomelo, and Waymark already coming, join the squad.
