How many people are going to be attending?
We're capping attendance at ~80 people. This is intentionally intimate and curated so you actually get to know the other attendees.
What is the price of the micro-conference? What if I cannot afford this price?
If accepted, the ticket cost is $950. Many past attendees have been able to get this covered by their employer through learning and development budgets. If cost is a concern, you should still apply and we might be able to figure something out.
What if I can’t make it last minute? Can I get a refund or transfer my ticket?
Tickets are non-transferable. Your acceptance is only for you. Attendees are eligible for a full refund until 30 days prior to the event start. After August 18, 2026, no refunds will be issued.
Will you be organizing accommodations?
On the application we've asked you to express interest in a hotel room block to help us gauge demand. More information will be shared after the application process is complete.
Will there be food?
Yes! The pre-event reception will have heavy apps, and the main event day will have catered breakfast, lunch, and snacks. The post-event happy hour will also have food. If accepted, we'll collect your dietary needs and restrictions to make sure you're accommodated.
Is the venue ADA accessible?
Yes, the venue is ADA accessible. If you have specific accessibility needs, please reach out to events@outofpocket.health so we can make sure you're accommodated
How are attendees selected?
The application is meant to filter people who take effort to apply, have interesting viewpoints, and bring a diversity of perspectives into the room. The rest is the special sauce :).
Who is the ideal attendee?
Ship it is for anyone mid-to-senior level engineering working in healthcare. Doesn’t matter what part of healthcare, what languages you know, etc. We care about people who are building, have some experience, and want to be in an environment where they’ll learn from others.
