Announcing…The Out-Of-Pocket Hackathon #2

I’m excited to tell you about an AWESOME hackathon we’re throwing in SF.

Wait real quick, two courses end enrollment this week. 

US Healthcare 101 - I’m teaching it, it’s awesome and will get you up to speed on US healthcare very fast. This is the last time I’m going to be doing the course at 5PM ET, then it goes back to 12 PM ET. Starts Tuesday.

EHR data 101 - EHR data is complicated to deal with, but much much easier if you know the tricks. I promise this course will help you avoid very expensive and painful lessons and taught by an instructor that’s really done it all with EHR data. Starts Tuesday.

Disc Scratch Rewind…Out-Of-Pocket Hackathon #2

Helloooooo People of Out-Of-Pocket (POOP). I’m so excited to let you know that our AI Hackathon is so f’in back.

If you want to hack on a healthcare idea, this is your sign to do it. Doesn’t matter if you have healthcare experience, engineering experience, etc. We’re bringing mentors, matching people, the works. And it’s FREE for hackers.

We built a very fun site for it, check it out.

We did this last year and it was awesome. 60 people hacking and they built some insane projects. You can see them here, but everything from robocalling pharmacies for inventory to creating simulated hospitals for triaging.

It’s going to be in San Francisco from 5/16 - 5/18.

If you’re interested in being a hacker, just fill out a short application. You can apply as a team or as an individual and we’ll match you. The application is due 2/20, but do it now otherwise you’ll forget.

We have a limited number of spots for teams, so if you’re interested, shoot your shot. It’s a relatively short application. This is a great place for engineers to dip their toe in healthcare if they don’t know anything about it. And it’s also a great place for healthcare people to see if that idea in the back of their head is worth putting together.

If you get in, you need to figure out how to get there/lodging but we’ll provide everything else (space, AI vendors, food, etc.)

If you don’t want to hack but are interested in attending the demo day you can also fill out this form instead.

We had so much fun making this site lol, so check it out. There’s some fun design touches that anyone who played 8-bit games will enjoy.
