AI x RCM Masterclass

A small-group masterclass for experienced RCM operators focused on practical AI implementation across the revenue cycle from intake through denials and recovery. Unlike a traditional webinar, this series is intentionally designed to be interactive, discussion-driven, and cohort-based, with breakout conversations and peer collaboration built into each session. Because of that, participation is application-based, and we strongly encourage attendance across all three days to support deeper operational discussion and shared learning.

Operationalize AI in RCM

This masterclass is designed for experienced RCM leaders looking to move beyond AI theory and into practical implementation. Through real operational workflows, we’ll explore where AI can improve efficiency, decision-making, and financial outcomes across the revenue cycle all while identifying where human oversight and escalation remain critical. Attendees will leave with practical frameworks they can apply directly within their own organizations.

Becky Carlson

Becky has been working in Revenue Cycle Management for nearly a decade, with the last seven years focused specifically on digital health. She’s seen the industry from every angle starting on the payer side at Blue Cross Blue Shield, moving to the provider side leading RCM teams at Cerebral, Bicycle Health, and Two Chairs, and then stepping into the vendor world as the founding Head of RCM at both Adonis and now Joyful Health.

She lives in Alabama with her husband and their dog. When she’s not working on RCM (which is admittedly rare), she’s a big college football fan.

Eliana Berger

Eliana Berger is the co-founder and CEO of Joyful Health, an AI startup transforming the financial operations of healthcare. Prior to founding Joyful Health, she held product management roles at high-growth startups, including the mental health company Charlie Health.

Course Syllabus & Schedule

Module 1

Day 1

AI Vendor Types, Vendor Selection & Team Structure

(6/29, 12 - 130PM EST)

Explore the current AI vendor landscape within RCM, including copilots, services, automation platforms, and AI agents. We’ll discuss how organizations are evaluating where AI fits operationally, how to assess vendors against real workflow problems, and how team structure and operational ownership influence successful implementation. The session will include both presentation content and breakout discussions designed to facilitate peer-level operational conversation.

Module 2

Day 2

Front-End & Mid-Cycle Applications

(6/30, 12 - 130PM EST)

Review practical applications of AI across front-end and mid-cycle RCM workflows, including intake, eligibility, prior authorization, coding support, claim editing, documentation workflows, and denial prevention strategies. Discussions will focus on where AI can improve efficiency and accuracy while identifying where operational oversight remains essential. The session will combine workflow examples with breakout discussions around real-world implementation and operational challenges.

Module 3

Day 3

Back-End RCM & Operational Discussion

(7/1, 12 - 130PM EST)

Examine practical applications of AI within denials management, AR follow-up, underpayment identification, root-cause analysis, and operational reporting. The session will also include collaborative discussion around implementation strategy, organizational readiness, and how attendees are thinking about applying AI within their own RCM operations. The final session will place a stronger emphasis on breakout discussion and peer collaboration around implementation strategy and operational decision-making.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this course for?

This masterclass is designed for experienced healthcare operators, revenue cycle leaders, and operational teams who already understand the fundamentals of RCM and are looking to better understand how AI and modern technology can be practically applied within their organizations.

This course is especially valuable for:

  • Revenue Cycle leaders and operational managers evaluating AI-enabled workflows
  • Finance, operations, and strategy leaders seeking a clearer understanding of where automation creates value — and where human oversight remains critical
  • Organizations navigating denials, AR challenges, staffing constraints, or operational inefficiencies and looking for more practical approaches to modernization
  • Teams that are tired of high-level AI conversations and want real operational frameworks grounded in day-to-day healthcare realities

How much is it?

This masterclass is currently being offered at no cost to selected participants. Because the format is intentionally small-group and discussion-driven, participation will be application-based to help ensure a strong mix of experienced operators, meaningful conversation, and shared learning across attendees navigating similar RCM and operational challenges.

Do I have to be at every session? How long are they?

Each session will be approximately 90 minutes long across a three-day series, with each day focused on a different operational area of the revenue cycle.

Unlike a traditional webinar, this masterclass is intentionally designed to be interactive and cohort-based, with breakout discussions and collaborative operational conversation built into each session.

While each session can provide value independently, the series is designed to build on itself across all three days. Earlier discussions will help frame later conversations around implementation strategy, workflow ownership, escalation, and operational decision-making.

Because of that, participation is application-based, and we strongly encourage attendance across the full series to support deeper discussion, shared learning, and stronger peer collaboration throughout the experience.

Will I be an expert at using AI in RCM after finishing this course?

You’ll leave with a significantly stronger practical understanding of how AI can be applied across the revenue cycle and greater confidence in evaluating where it can create meaningful operational impact within your organization.

The goal of this masterclass is not just to introduce concepts, but to create productive, operator-level conversations between teams actively exploring AI adoption and those already using these tools in practice. Across the three sessions, attendees will gain practical frameworks, real-world examples, and a clearer understanding of both the opportunities and limitations of AI within RCM workflows.

Is there a lot of work?

This masterclass is intentionally designed to be discussion-driven rather than assignment-heavy. The primary expectation is active participation, curiosity, and a willingness to engage in thoughtful operational conversations with peers across the industry.

Attendees will get the most value by bringing real questions, challenges, and perspectives into the discussion. While supplemental materials or resources may be shared throughout the series, the focus is on practical learning, collaborative conversation, and real-world application rather than formal coursework.
